Howling at the MOON

On the way home from my daughters' volleyball game Friday night, I couldn't help but notice the moon. I got my tripod and set up camp in the front yard.  Of course I couldn't get the same scence that I saw on the way home but this is what I saw from my driveway.  My daughters' team won by the way.

Wearing it Wednesday

I've decided that since I have morning and afternoon duties every Wednesday  till the end of school, then that would be my dress down day.  So not the case... I still ended up dressing up by the time I added a cardigan and jewelry and these fabulous green heels.  I wore my hair up and no makeup because there was just simply not enough time because I needed to be there before 7:30.

Minted Dots

So the second day of school was a bit more hectic because kids needed to be dropped off early to get to practices before school and I didn't get to take an outfit of the day picture so I thought I'd just get it done after work.  Wrong!!  Not only was I tired, I looked it.  From now on I will try my best to take my pics in the morning before work.  Spending the day with 120 pre-teens and teenagers takes its toll.

First Day of Jr. High

Today was my first day as a Junior High School teacher.  Last year I taught 6th grade Math at an Elementary campus but this year we are at a junior high campus, and I will be teaching 3 classes of Math in the morning and 3 classes of Science in the afternoon.  It will take some getting used to.  Today was also a day of other firsts for my family.  My youngest daughter started jr high, and my oldest daughter had her last first day of school.  My son is a sophmore. I still can't believe that I have a senior in high school.  Time sure does fly.

Sistas Night Out

Fedora Luv

I finally did it....I purchased a fedora.  I was flipping through the avon book and decided to purchase one.  It's my new favorite thing.  My brother invited me to a mixer for this new business venture Organo gold (the coffee that pays) so if your interested in trying some really really amazing gourmet coffee that has great health benefits or would like to learn more about the business send me an email.  I wasn't sure how to dress but I knew I wanted to look casual chic so,

Polka dots & running errands

Last Monday was my day to finish some monthly errands.  We have had some really hot temperatures so when I had to drive into the city I decided to wear a short plum polkadot tube dress by Arizona from JcPenny.  This dress was super comfortable on a hot summer day.  While running errands I found some nine & Co.  nude heels for $10.00 originally $40 so I bought it in 2 different colors and gave my sister the brown ones as a birthday present.

High low lace & forever 21

I bought this dress a while back on sale from JcPenny.  I also had a coupon so I got it  for under $15.00.  It originally came with a plain brown belt but I switched it out for this pattern one that I got at Target on clearance for less than $10.00.  I've been wanting nude wedges for ever and a day now, so when I spied these online at  forever21.com I knew I had to have them.  I didn't realize that they were 6 inches tall, so all evening I was extra careful when walking.

1st day of SUMMER recap:

Since I am in full "SUMMER" mode, you know the time when all educators get to clean and do all the things they have neglected during the year.  I have not had time to take many pictures and besides my photographer is YOLOing by spending all of her time with her nana around the block.  I did get dressed to have lunch with my bff who was in town on the first official day of summer, even though my summer started on June 2nd. Right before I was about to leave the house I had a wardrobe malfunction and had to turn my dress into a halter dress because the adjustments on the straps broke so with my handy dandy scissors I snipped off the ends.  I actually like the look and wear of the halter style better.
